Thank you to Brian Eberly for bringing the following video of Hillsong United to my attention. My heart cries for shame and weeps at the blatant thievery these people have been subjected to…. by me.
The I Heart Revolution: We’re All In This Together
While we sit around entertaining ourselves watching reality shows, a child is prostituted behind closed doors, robbed of their innocence.
It’s not fair that there is a generation choking in their obesity, at the same time there are 30,000 children that will die today due to a lack of food.
It’s not fair that we can sing, dance and jump around in liberty, while the slaves remain captive out of sight, out of mind.
Is it fair to walk past the homeless man and give him nothing on the assumption that they will spend it on booze.
Who are we to judge the alcoholic, prostitute, drug addict or criminal as if we are any better.
We see this imbalance and say that it’s not right, it’s not fair but that’s where it ends, because for us to do any more, it costs us something.
When we choose not to help the poor and the needy, we actually rob them.
Perhaps the only fair thing to say is that, when we forsake the lives of others, we actually forsake our own.

Wow! I’ve never seen that video and it speaks some very true words.
I’ve been meaning to stop by and tell you thanks for stopping by. I came over and found myself finding all kinds of things to click on and actually never actually left the comment I intended on. You have a great blog going on here. I will definitely be adding you to my reader.
Thanks for coming Abbie. Appreciate the comment
I’m crying.
It’s so true. Indeed, it echoes the Bible, which tells us that to neglect doing good is sin just as much as doing evil, and it is this very sin that so plagues the Church today.
God bless you for posting this. May the Lord grant me the strength not to forsake the lives of others.
I’m bookmarking this on StumbleUpon, and when my blog is back up and running, I’ll also post about it.
Thanks for coming Goldmare.
May the things that break God’s heart break ours.
God Bless.
