Had a rough day today but thankfully instead of complaining and whining, I remembered a verse from our family devotion yesterday.
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
As bad as the day may get, God made the day for a reason. I don’t understand why but in due time he will let me know. Until then, there is a need to persevere in face of difficulties and frustrations and to call upon the name of the Lord for guidance.
Towards the end of the day, I dropped by the supermarket and started my “encouragement” attitude. I paid for my items and as I received my receipt and change, I told the lady working at the checkout what a great job she was doing. I was encouraged by the smile she gave me and thanked God as I walked out feeling better after a lousy day.
In the end God made the day and I hope to start it off with Him as well as end it with Him.
