In a previous post, I mentioned that my wife and I are not financially well off or even stable at the moment. However, instead of worrying, getting stressed and fighting over bills and finances, we are free from the burden that money has on many people. I give all thanks to God for this. He personally showed us that by trusting and obeying Him, He will provide.
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)
For those that noticed my twitter post on the right, as my wife and I were praying for our Compassion child, we remembered the face of a boy in Colombia who had been on the waiting list for more than 6 months. As we continued in prayer, our hearts broke as thoughts of such poor children in poverty kept coming into our minds. Tears started to stream down our faces and we heard God telling us to sponsor him, that he had been waiting for us.
We are now overjoyed to have two sponsored children. Birendra from India and Elifeleth from Colombia.

By cutting down $1 a day or buying lunch with a small drink instead of a large etc, we now bring food, education, but most of all, the love of Christ to these children.
By sacrificing a little, we greatly anticipate how God will use the seeds that we sowed with tears. We look forward to the day these boys will become warriors and spread the word of God with fire in their heart to their respective nations. Compassion isn’t just about sponsoring, it’s bringing the Word alive to nations that have yet to hear about the love of God.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him. (Psalms 126:5-6)
Poverty leads children to believe that no one cares. For only $1 a day, we shatter that lie. How far will $32 a month get us in our lives? For these children, $32 is all they need.
Let me leave you with the ending from Schindler’s List. A once money, power hungry man that breaks down after seeing how many more Jewish lives he could have saved had he sold his car and personal belongings.
